The word "Catholic" is derived from the Greek word for "universal".

As Christianity spread throughout the world, people from all nations heard the Good News and joined the Church. For them, their faith was part and parcel of their life. It determined how they lived, worked and interacted with others.

Being Catholic is about how we live and work and interact with others. It is about knowing and living our Faith. While many of us may have gone through Catholic schools, for most of us our Catholic education stopped once we left school. These pages are intended to fill in some of the gaps on a number of top[ics of interest to Catholics. It cannot be a complete exposition of the Catholic Faith but hopefully will provide interesting and thought-provoking articles.
